I have recently taken over the family home and when I was a little girl we always had a birdhouse in the backyard.  All the little plastic ones have come and gone and I think it’s time for a really nice one.  I miss sitting in the sunroom and watching the little finches play!  So, to Etsy I went and I found some options.  I was surprised (I don’t know why) at the range of design and price available, but mostly at the creativity out there!  These are just three of my top pics…I think I have about 12 favorited right now!  Let me know which one you guys like!

I have to say this last one by Clegg Farms really caught me by surprise, at first I clicked on it because the design was so beautiful and then I realized not only was it a birdhouse but a wedding card collector…and I thought…BRILLIANT!  What a wonderful idea and a welcome change from the satin pillowcase!  Also a great shower gift as you can have it customized to match the couple’s home if they already have one!  LOVE it!

Today’s find comes from Seeking Designers and is brought to you by the letter S…for Spices!  I absolutely LOVE this company spicy ideas.  We all know and sometimes loathe those ugly and also cumbersome spice racks.  And anyone who has tried to clean the dust off of them knows…it’s NOT FUN!  So not fun, that I had mine covered by another Etsyian…but I digress.  My point is, these spice racks and sets from Purpose Design made me giggle with glee!  They are clean and fun and so functional.  Also probably the perfect gift for a hourse warming party this year…or a hostess gift for someone you know loves to cook.  I also think the idea of the tea sets and specific spice sets like Mexican or French are equally exciting!  If you are a cook, or like to dabble or you know someone who is, you’re gonna wanna pass this one on!

Ok…so these are the coolest thing I’ve ever seen for a baby!  All though I do secretly wish they made them for adults…  I mean come on…that baby look SUPER comfy…and hella happy.  I know I would be if I were snuggled up in one of these Kanoe Baby Hammocks by Studio Leroux on Etsy.  Great looking design, and fantastic functionability!  Ok so I just made up that word, but it was necessary.  I’m drawn to the little sak that you pack it all up into…all in a very cool item!  Anywhoooo…take a look!

I already own some of Joom’s pillows so I feel it’s safe to post, allthough these are calling me too!  I picked them for their earthy feel.  I love the texture and muted colors of the linen-like fabric, and the contrast against the darker solids.  If you are looking to add some interest to a side charir or spruce up your couch for the Fall, take a peek in the shop!!

I thought I would go with a theme in this post!  I was sent an email from a store in Boston called Oak, and when I checked it out I found some things that were really funny, and since I like a store with a good sense of humor I thought I would post some items here.   Aside from these foodie-type things there are also accessories, bags, clothing etc…so check them out!

I have a friend who recently got married…a civil service wedding so far…they are both Thai and there will be a beautiful Thai wedding soon!! They moved in together and have a great little apartment. He is my best friend since high school, and I am so happy for him and his wife! They are soooo cute! (See photo proof of their cuteness below!)

His wife listed the following photo on her myspace page as being things that she would die to have…and I KNOW I have seen these pieces before, but can’t for the life of me find them!!! I would love to get a gift certificate for them or along with my family buy them a piece as a wedding gift…does anyone know where to find them, or what company they are?? I checked on other blogs that I could sware I would find them on like Design Sponge…to no avail!
