Vegan Honey

March 25th, 2008 Kristen Posted in Food 2 Comments »

I am a self professed sugar freak. I love sugary things, I can’t help it! I am in the gym countless hours because of it, and have recently taken up boxing…at any rate…I found Vegan Honey on Etsy…and it was love at first bite…literally! So I thought…hey…I NEED to share this with as many vegan peoples I know…at the very least you HAVE to try the twinkies. Anyone who has eaten and loved a twinkie in their life needs to try these…I personally ordered them and was floored…yes…the taste pretty darn close to the real thing!!! And you don’t have to feel bad about any animals being hurt in the process of the baking….always a plus in my book! So check her out…and I’m sorry in advance, because I guarantee, if you order once, you’ll be going back for more!!!

“Fauxstess Twinkey”  $12/4 count

“Fauxstess Cupcakes” $12/4 count

If you have a sweet tooth, or you know someone who does…you NEED to try some of this almond brittle on etsy! A talented baker and fellow sugar addict, Kim over at Sugar Fix knows her sweets! This will be the first of many listings to come I’m sure…and I’ll be right there waiting for the rest of them. I can say first hand, (samples are a good thing) that this is some of the best brittle I’ve had!! It’s appropriately crunchy and at the same time is smooth and melts in your mouth!

“Melt in Your Mouth, Almond Brittle” $9.99/6oz.

P.B. Loco

Ok, so I was wandering through Trunkt.org, and came upon P.B. Loco. What is it you ask? GOURMET, FLAVORED…PEANUT BUTTER…oh yeah…I said flavored. For instance, feel like some peanut butter and chocolate…just order their “Dark Chocolate Duo” made with European chocolate, or the “Raspberry White Chocolate”! I personally am a protein shake lover, so, my usual is a banana, chocolate protein powder and peanut butter….and now…I can skip all that and just add the “Jungle Banana” flavor! Insane….as if that wasn’t enough…there is no trans fat, and no animal fat. I am seriously ordering some of this for myself, maybe a repost after I taste them? It just looked too good not to post about…I mean…chocolate and peanut butter in ONE container? Really? Where was this before?? Check out their online store!

“Peanut Butter with Dark Chocolate Duo” $6.95

“Peanut Butter with Raspberry White Chocolate” $6.95

The Dippy Chick!!!

February 9th, 2007 Kristen Posted in Food 1 Comment »

I have been a member of The Switchboards for awhile now, it’s an online forum of Indie Designers and Crafters who are very talented, and helpful!

My next pick is from this online forum. I know…it’s not fashion related…but it is an Indie Designer…a designer of FOOD! (my other favorite thing…8) Dippy Chick is a wonderful company offering ready made dry dips for parties!! They are packaged beautifully and when you recieve them, all you have to do is add your yogurt, sour cream, mayo, tofu etc…and you have DIP! A fantastic idea isn’t it….and aside from that, there is the fact that owner Christine Hanisco is a mother who understands kids with allergies! So all of her dips are gluten free! You can even find that some recipes are more specific to other dietary needs…please check out her “Special Diets” page! Look her up and let her know where you found her fab dips!
