Anisa over at Makool Loves You Blog has a shop and in it there are many things I love!  I am seriously hooked on these shirts…one is cuter than the next.  Of course I show my true color addiction with the first pick in red, but I couldn’t help it.  All of the gathering and tucking going on on the tops this season has me happy I’m a girl, and when you add a retro vibe, I’m IN!  Ok so choice #3 is really retro…like Romeo and Juliet…but I still love it don’t you???

“Garden Top” $38

“Lantern Shirt” $58

“Plum Shirt AKA  Flavor Grenade” $106

Tickled Pink Knits

November 28th, 2007 Kristen Posted in Accessories, Clothing 1 Comment »

I have long been a supporter of scarves and I still am-but it is a little annoying when you take your coat off and the scarf falls on the floor or you lean over to pick something up and the scarf falls off…or you’re in a public bathroom and…well you get my point. 8) I am finally coming around and have discovered the neck-warmer…or as I like to call them neck-cozy! Tickled Pink Knits on Etsy has this red one that I LOVE, and it will be going on my Christmas list…if I can control myself long enough not to buy it today!!!

“Alpaca Knit Neckwarmer / CHOOSE your COLOR” $30

“Merino Wool Neckwarmer / Coffee and Cream” $34

“Hot Pink Neckwarmer – Hand Knit” $35

I love anything whimsical, and also have a love for bright colors.  This hooded sweater by Pink Willow Designs is exactly the type of thing I would buy for a child of mine.  It’s bright and fun and full of detail!  I love the flowers and the tassle detail on the back of the hood!  Makes a great unique gift for someone you love lots!  As for the scarf, I’d buy it for myself…lol…I love the way it bleeds from color to color…and we’re going to be needing scarves soon here in NY!!!

I chose Seed Clothing on Etsy for their strong patterns and feminine pieces. I love the straight lines and details on the lace dress…and the billowy kimono style of the bright salsa top. Her work is fresh, chic and fun! If you are looking for something that speaks to you personally and makes a statement…check out her online shop on esty or her website!

Style Scene

For my next pick…I found two different designers on Style Scene. The first one is from Zeto, it’s an awesome blue bell sleeved t-shirt with a tree print. I always love a bell sleeve, and it happened to be a favorite color of mine…so I had to feature it! The other piece I chose is by Margarita Saplala and it’s also a tree print, it has banding at the bottom and on the oversized sleeves, it’s truly a beautiful piece….great for a night out! Take a peek at both items:

“Bell Sleeve Tree Shirt” $78
by Zeto

“Embriodered Tree Top” $150
by Margarita Saplala

Moral Fabric On Etsy

June 12th, 2007 Kristen Posted in Clothing 1 Comment »

It’s rare that I find a t-shirt with a message, especially for menswear! I am always looking for something for my husband…and I may end up buying him this tee from Moral Fabric. He’s a pacifist in his own way…a strong man who chooses to use his brain before is braun, (tho there’s plenty of braun he could use!) This t-shirt has “Ahimsa” on the front in a strong and beautiful design. Here’s an explanation of the t-shirt from the listing in Moral Fabric’s Etsy Shop:
“Ahimsa is a religious concept which advocates non-violence and a respect for all life. Ahimsa is Sanskrit for avoidance of himsa, or injury. It is interpreted most often as meaning peace and reverence toward all sentient beings. Ahimsa is an important doctrine of Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Its first mention in Indian philosophy is found in the Hindu scriptures called the Upanishads, the oldest dating about 800 BCE.”

“MENS AHIMSA T-Shirt” $24
