It has come to my attention that lately everyone is into organic. First it was food…and now it’s everything else! I have to admit we jumped on the healthier food wagon awhile ago, and have been eating more organic foods. A friend of mine is pregnant and due soon and I was invited to her shower and she is 100% into organic everything for her new baby. It got me thinking….what a great post for my blog! Not too long ago I featured some Indie items from Georgie Love an online Australian Indie shop! TEZ, is another of those fine crafters and I thought that it might be nice to post about something for the men in the audience for a change…if they’re out there??? Since my hubby surely doesn’t have the same enthusiasm for my handmade jewelry collection, baby items, or my collection of tiny crochet animals…I thought maybe we’d throw him a bone here! These ties by TEZ caught my eye and I thought what a fantastic gift for your hard to buy for, fashion forward Indie friend! I love the skulls, they are vintage and recycled, and lets face it stripes are always a plus!

Matilda Jane makes sweet, cheeky clothing for little girls to be themselves in! The pieces are fun and bright with a whimsical feel, they make you smile just looking at them. I can only imagine what it would feel like to be a little one wearing these fantastical pieces. They speak to childhood, and imagination to me, and if they’d have been around when I was a little girl…I would have lived in them!

Browsing through alchemy on Etsy, I found this lovely seller Fairy Tales Unlimited who had the most adorable tutus I have ever seen! What a great idea for dress up, or for photos of your little one. (I even found one in adult size in the sold items!!!) I couldn’t help it, when I saw the photo of this little baby wearing it, I found myself going “awwww…..” See for yourself!

Anisa over at Makool Loves You Blog has a shop and in it there are many things I love!  I am seriously hooked on these shirts…one is cuter than the next.  Of course I show my true color addiction with the first pick in red, but I couldn’t help it.  All of the gathering and tucking going on on the tops this season has me happy I’m a girl, and when you add a retro vibe, I’m IN!  Ok so choice #3 is really retro…like Romeo and Juliet…but I still love it don’t you???

I have long been a supporter of scarves and I still am-but it is a little annoying when you take your coat off and the scarf falls on the floor or you lean over to pick something up and the scarf falls off…or you’re in a public bathroom and…well you get my point. I am finally coming around and have discovered the neck-warmer…or as I like to call them neck-cozy! Tickled Pink Knits on Etsy has this red one that I LOVE, and it will be going on my Christmas list…if I can control myself long enough not to buy it today!!!

I came across Label of Hope through Indie Public. I was curious and checked out her Ebay store and voila…I found some of the most awesome handmade Indie clothing ever! Most of her pieces are completely ONE of a kind, since all of the work is done herself, she spends countless hours a day sewing. All the hard work and talent shows in these artful pieces of fun clothing. Please check out the shop and remember if you want it…BUY it…there’s only ONE in the whole world like it!

I am constantly checking out the work of my favorite designers on Etsy, and even tho I am a plus sized gal myself, and find it hard to find Indie Clothing…I LOVE these dresses by Serene Boutique.  Fall colors are another favorite palette and big bold designs are always a plus!  Rich oranges, taupes and browns make these pieces a rich statement for the season!

I love anything whimsical, and also have a love for bright colors.  This hooded sweater by Pink Willow Designs is exactly the type of thing I would buy for a child of mine.  It’s bright and fun and full of detail!  I love the flowers and the tassle detail on the back of the hood!  Makes a great unique gift for someone you love lots!  As for the scarf, I’d buy it for myself…lol…I love the way it bleeds from color to color…and we’re going to be needing scarves soon here in NY!!!
