Charm Design is home to some of the most beautiful bags and fabrics I know of! Maybe it’s ’cause I love all things Asian, or perhaps because I am particularly a sucker for cherry blossom prints…?? Either way it’s a fantastic shop with all kinds of wonderful goodies in it, from market totes to zipper pouches to granny bags. Also, Ranja Lee, owner of Charm Design has opened up a wonderful online fabric shop with her sister…it’s a must see for all of you other sewing mavens out there…it’s called IKS FABRIC so check it out! Not too long ago I featured some Indie items from Georgie Love an online Australian Indie shop! TEZ, is another of those fine crafters and I thought that it might be nice to post about something for the men in the audience for a change…if they’re out there??? Since my hubby surely doesn’t have the same enthusiasm for my handmade jewelry collection, baby items, or my collection of tiny crochet animals…I thought maybe we’d throw him a bone here! These ties by TEZ caught my eye and I thought what a fantastic gift for your hard to buy for, fashion forward Indie friend! I love the skulls, they are vintage and recycled, and lets face it stripes are always a plus!

I recently received a comment on one of my posts from a 12 year old jewelry maker named Cambria!  She runs her business with the help of her mom and dad.  She comes to read the blog because she finds  it inspiring…I was so touched!  She’s been making jewelry for 2 years and recently opened an Etsy shop called Cambria’s Creations.  Part of the reason I post is to share other people’s work with the world…I an overjoyed that it is inspiring young craft artists!  I checked out Cambria’s Etsy Shop and found quite a few beautifully crafted creations.  (She’s quite the talented young lady!!!)  Here are my favorites: (I’m partial to green can you tell?)

I love the messages on these pendants by Allison Strine Designs and the well put together imagery. They make excellent gifts for others or for yourself. Sometimes you need a little mantra tucked behind your pendant to remind you who you are or who you want to be…or just to get you through a rough time.

I am loving these Ipod covers from Pink Flamingo Swizzle Stick! There are so many of these covers being made but these really caught my eye. I love the stitching around the clear spaces to see through, and the choices of fabrics are perfect for the coming Spring and Summer months! I also like the button detail closure on some of them…it really makes each one truly unique. I wish I had a traditional Ipod…but no…I have a rio…alas, my mp2 player would not fit in one of these pretty little cozies…but perhaps yours will!

We have been renovating the craft room lately, and by this I mean cleaning up all the clutter, moving furniture around and adding shelving so I can actually store all of my jewelry items!! I’ll eventually clean it up nice enough to post a pic or two! Maybe we can swap photos of our rooms…anyway, I have been trying to find cute desk sets and things to kind of spruce up the space, and came across Simple Song Designs because they were featured on the Etsy main page today! I absolutely LOVE this desk set…there are many more in the shop on Etsy as well as some REALLY cool fabric covered bulletin boards!

This next post is close to my heart…8) I heart piggies…aside from the fact that they’re just plain cute, and I love their fuzzy little piggy snouts, I had a favorite and fabulous uncle…(not unlike the one in the nutcracker) who would bring me slightly odd and wonderful gifts! He looooved pigs! He had a marionette pig in his kitchen, and various piggy serving pieces. Every time we were out and found one my mother and I were always inclined to add to his collection…soooo…when I saw the pyramid of piggies and the pig cupcake in Sugar Elf’s Etsy Shop, I hearted them both IMMEDIATELY! My hubby, smart man that he is…knows to check out my hearts for any gifting…so they were both mine for Valentine’s Day!! YAY!! I had to share them with you and share more items from Sugar Elf’s Shop below! The piggies are really well done, absolutely adorable, and I love that they’re stackable! The cupcake just blows my mind with all of it’s details…

I would like to introduce you to Georgie Love, and online shop of Australian Crafters and their wears.  Shop owner, Sally is a self professed “geek-girl who likes comics, animals, music, apple computers and the sofa.
