Lucha Workshop

Thursday, May 31st, 2007 Posted in Bags | No Comments »

This post comes directly from a bag that caught my eye on the Etsy main page last night! Lucha Workshop’s Esty Store has a mixture of handmade items from pillows to t-shirts and of course bags! The details like placement and stitching on the bags makes them a step ahead of the masses…”attention to detail” is my favorite phrase…and these pieces are perfect examples!

Please stop by and check out the other items in the shop, I am featuring two bags here…but there is much more to see!

“Aqua-Flower Bag” $55

“Lucy bag” $40

First I would like to apologize for my absence yesterday, my grandmother who was 90 years old this past October has been having a rough time lately, and since my mother passed, I am her go to gal! So…we have been back and forth to Dr’s offices…but it looks like for now everything is ok! I do apologize for my “no-post” and I’ll try to never let it happen again! 8) In he meantime, here are some of her pics…not bad for 90 huh? (some photos from her as Queen Elizabeth at her Halloween 90th Surprise Birthday Party!!!)

Chearrings Jewelry

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 Posted in Jewelry | 1 Comment »

I have to admit, being a jewelry designer myself, I often indulge in the work of other jewelry designers! Sure, there are things I could try to make, but…they are so beautiful…and so well done, that sometimes I just WANT THEM! Plus…as I’ve said before…I rationalize it easier…because I am helping a fellow artist! 8)

I am partial to Chearrings earring collections, they are feminine and beautiful and also make a statement. I love the hoops and the long and lean earrings like the three pairs I’ve chosen below. It is apparent that a lot of thought goes into each of the designs. Aside from all of this…they are incredibly reasonable considering the time and effort I know it takes to make each set! Please stop by her online store, and browse you won’t be disappointed!

“Odlie Earrings” $29

“Leya Earrings” $32

“Cira Earrings” $34

Melissa Moss Paintings

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007 Posted in Artwork | No Comments »

I am always drawn to trees for some reason, every time I am looking for artwork or even just cards…if there’s a tree I always have to have it. That’s probably why I stopped when I found this next artist Melissa Moss. Her paintings have trees and other botanical elements in them like Venus fly traps, cherry blossoms and ferns. Some of them have a great sense of humor too like the “Snax” print below and the “The Party’s Over” prints. They are detailed yet simple in their form and I found myself going from one to another and quickly viewing almost the entire page. It was hard to choose which ones I wanted to feature here, but I picked some favorites, please take a look at her website or her Etsy Shop to see which are your favorites!

“The Party’s Over”

“Snax”

“Burden”

One Up Designs!

Thursday, May 17th, 2007 Posted in For The Home | No Comments »

I found these decal sets on Etsy, and thought, what a great idea! You can stick them on your walls and if you get sick of them you can take them down. They are not reusable tho…so make sure you place them correctly the first time! They come in a palette of colors you can choose from, in motifs from flowers, to spirals, to even monkeys for the kiddos room. A great way to fill up some of those bare walls in your house and add a bit of interest to any room. If you don’t see something that’s you, you can email them and they will even work with you to come up with a custom piece just for you! Check out their One Up Designs Esty shop where there are tons more to choose from!

“Bluebells Wall Graphic” $30
(includes 4 decals)

“Plush Wall Graphic” $33
(includes 4 decals)
