I have recently taken over the family home and when I was a little girl we always had a birdhouse in the backyard.  All the little plastic ones have come and gone and I think it’s time for a really nice one.  I miss sitting in the sunroom and watching the little finches play!  So, to Etsy I went and I found some options.  I was surprised (I don’t know why) at the range of design and price available, but mostly at the creativity out there!  These are just three of my top pics…I think I have about 12 favorited right now!  Let me know which one you guys like!

I have to say this last one by Clegg Farms really caught me by surprise, at first I clicked on it because the design was so beautiful and then I realized not only was it a birdhouse but a wedding card collector…and I thought…BRILLIANT!  What a wonderful idea and a welcome change from the satin pillowcase!  Also a great shower gift as you can have it customized to match the couple’s home if they already have one!  LOVE it!

So, I am thinking I have had just about enough SNOW. So I am moving towards things that remind me of the Spring I am so desperately desiring. This artwork by Atelier LaFloret of Etsy is definitely one of those things! I have always been attracted to dots for some reason. I just love them…at the end of my sentences, in the middle of them…on my nails, my clothing…you see my point. So when I came across this artwork I fell instantly in love! The swirling colors and details just make me happy! It must be so relaxing and meditative to make one of these pieces, at least I’d like to think so, because they make me feel zen! You KNOW how I am forever trying to find plus sized clothing on Etsy? Well…I FINALLY found Coty Lee on Etsy who not only custom made me two pieces, (one of which I am wearing right now) but they are SO AWESOME! It blows my mind that I am in NY and she is in NC and yet she was able, with nothing more than my measurements to make me the two most amazing tops in my closet right now. They fit PERFECTLY. I knew that since I was not right in front of her there was always the risk of things running a bit too big or too small, but it was perfect, end of story. Obviously I have to share her with you, even tho I’d love to keep her all to myself. So without further ado, here are some pieces from Coty Lee, who you should absolutely check out!

The first piece is what I ordered, one in all grey and one in blue with black accents. The second piece is from her new Spring line and I am sure more will be coming soon! The jacket is something I just loved, and am still considering…I feel it could definitely be worn into the Spring…and the color is just beautiful! I will be happily stalking her store from now on.

I am addicted…TO THE CUTEST HEADBANDS ON EARTH!!!  So, for the holidays my husband in his infinite wisdom checked my Etsy favorites…(smart man I trained him well) and there he found the most adorable headbands from Angie Sloan of Gazzu on Etsy.  She also makes ponytail holders and necklaces and…oh…you will just have to go and see for yourself…but here are a few to tease you over there first!

They were on the main page one afternoon and I was drawn in by the yumminess of the photos alone. They are…as good as they look…and BETTER. They melt in your mouth and the pumpkin flavor explodes onto your taste buds…and you never want it to end!
