Charm Design is home to some of the most beautiful bags and fabrics I know of! Maybe it’s ’cause I love all things Asian, or perhaps because I am particularly a sucker for cherry blossom prints…?? Either way it’s a fantastic shop with all kinds of wonderful goodies in it, from market totes to zipper pouches to granny bags. Also, Ranja Lee, owner of Charm Design has opened up a wonderful online fabric shop with her sister…it’s a must see for all of you other sewing mavens out there…it’s called IKS FABRIC so check it out! Here are my current favorites from her shop…I bought the Birds in Forest Market Tote on sight…I couldn’t help it…could you???

I really thought of one person in particular when I saw these hats, so Holly if you’re reading this…this one’s for you! I love each one of these hats for different reasons. It’s the attention to detail and the personality that each hat has that makes each one special! The fabric on the Johnny Appleseed hat is so cute…what’s better than apples and velvet…honestly? And of course I can’t resist the red detail on the Annie Cap…I have a thing for red…so if you have a chance, check out the Piper and Paisley shop at Etsy, or their website!

I was looking for some vintage buttons on Etsy when I came across Mom-O-Matic’s Automat shop! I fell instantly in love with her vintage flower button rings and felt the need to share. I’m partial to the pearly pink one, all though I love the design of the purple flower too. I thought they were a perfect little pop of spring on your finger…or maybe just a little piece of unexpected flair for your outfit. Either way they are totally fun and I think everyone needs one! There more designs in the shop to be had, I was just partial to the ones with petals! (Added bonus - the pink one’s on SALE!!!)

“Pearly Pink Vintage Button Ring” $3 SALE!!!

“Purple Peony Ring” $10

“Moss Rose Vintage Button and Brass Ring” $9
(All images and designs are property of Mom-O-Matic!)

If “A delightful disarray of found objects and clutter” sounds like a party to you, like it does to me - then Flutter in Portland, Oregon is the place for you to visit! With everything antique and vintage from velvet tufted parlor sofas to 1950’s plastic ballerina cake toppers there is much to see and covet! Apothecary items, books, bedding collections made from antique and vintage fabrics and tassels, and even a line using recycled antique kimonos will greet you as you enter. If there was something you were looking for once upon a time, it’s there. There is also resident designer Julia Barbee of Frocky Jack Morgan, who will delight you with her fantastical and fabulous deconstructed clothing line. Once described as “what Alice must have felt like as she tumbled down the hole to wonderland”, Flutter is an adventure in shopping waiting to happen! My apologies in advance for the long photo post, but I couldn’t help it!

I found Margrietje on etsy while searching for birdies, I’m sure that’s a pretty common search over there…but I was so taken with her beautiful pieces that I had to share them with you! They are made using polymer clay, which she then paints decorative themes onto. I absolutely love the sense of whimsey and the beautiful colors. The amount of work that must go into all of the little details amazes me! (I am in the process of asking about a custom order…you gotta love etsy!)

Top Left - “Light Blue Birdie Hand-Painted Pendant” $23
Top Right - “Bloom White Hand-Painted Pin/Pendant” $23
Bottom Left - “Flying High Hand-Painted Pendant” 25

Delia’s Delight jewelry is one of the artists featured in the Indie Love Spring Guide! It’s her attention to detail, creative use of color, and understanding of texture that always catches my eye. I have chosen two of my favorite pieces from her Etsy Shop. I am loving all things white this season, don’t know why, I just do! The necklace below has a dragonfly on it, and that reminds me of my mother so I had to pick that one…if by any chance the HUBBY IS READING…this would be an EH-HEM situation.

“Crystal Dream Cuff” $70

“Brass Dragonfly and Amethyst Necklace” $95
(All designs are property of Delia’s Delight!)

I’d like to take a moment to introduce you to a program that is near and dear to my heart! Friends of mine run this program, and they give 200% of themselves to it and to all of the children whom it benefits. Please take some time to read about their program! Thank you so much!

Project Morry is a year-round youth development organization that provides to each child a multi-year commitment anchored by a superb residential summer camp experience.
The children, for whom these experiences would not otherwise be available, benefit from a network of support and gain increased social skills, enhanced self-esteem, positive core values and a greater sense of personal responsibility.
